Internship at Marketing and Communication department

Vacancy for Q3 and Q4 2012

We are looking for a bachelor student communications to fulfill an internship for 3 to 6 months at our marketing & communication department. Our marcom department characterizes itself as a very dynamic department with a wide range of activities. Through this internship you will have the opportunity to actively work on various communication projects, such as the corporate website, social media, newsletters, events, advertisements and brochures.

Organization
WoodWing is an international software company based in Zaandam. We develop software for publishers who are looking for a system that they can use to efficiently produce content for all modern communication channels (print, web, social media, mobile, tablets). Our products are used by companies worldwide, such as Time Inc., Veronica Magazine, Stern, The Press, Ringier, Sanoma and many others. Recently, WoodWing acquired worldwide fame with the Digital Publishing Solution, this product enables companies to easily and efficiently publish to tablets, like the iPad.

Assignment
For our marcom department we are looking for an independent bachelor (HBO) student that is interested in an internship of at least 3 months. Depending on your knowledge and skills your work consists of working on graphic projects, thinking about improvements or additions for the website and the development of newsletters and print campaigns. In addition you can also develop yourself on the level of website maintenance and management. Furthermore, we will ask you to support us in events we organize.

Within the internship we offer you the possibility to further develop your current knowledge, and we certainly encourage self-implemented ideas.

Job requirements

  • Good knowledge of English speaking and writing
  • You're somewhat familiar with working with an Apple computer
  • Technical insight, working with various software packages is part of the job
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator


Candidate Profile

  • You follow a bachelor program (HBO) in the communications direction, multimedia (Web) Design, Marketing and Website development.
  • You are your 2nd, 3rd or last year of your education
  • You are available for at least 3 months (start asap)
  • You are availble for 5 days a week
  • You are creative and have good communication skills
  • You can work independently and accurately
